“Spirituality & Aging: an obligation to impart”
Each generation has the obligation to transfer their heritage of faith through the stories, life experiences and wisdom handed down to them by their ancestors. How can we help the elder fulfill their obligation? Whether you are an older adult, a religious leader, a health professional, or just interested in the topic, this workshop will give you a deeper insight into creating intergenerational relationships.

Amy Hanson, Ph.D.
Dr. Amy Hanson is a speaker, writer, and consultant with a passion to help older adults discover a life of Christ-centered meaning and purpose. Amy has a Bachelor’s degree in Bible and Family Ministry from Manhattan Christian College, a Master’s degree in Gerontology from Abilene Christian University and a PhD in Human Sciences from the University of Nebraska. She teaches several aging courses at the college-level and has conducted research on volunteerism among older adults in the church.
Paul Falkowski, MA
Paul Falkowski is the founder and executive director of Desert Ministries, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the frail elderly living in long-term care facilities. Paul has a Bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University in Music and a Master’s degree in Gerontology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is currently working on his PhD at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Paul also teaches Gerontology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
