• Founder and executive director of Desert Ministries, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the frail elderly living in long-term care facilities. • Passionate about the role the community, in particular the faith community, in support of the local nursing home. • Creative and innovative in developing conduits and catalysts to increase community awareness and involvement of and with the long-term care community. • Strong, vocal advocate for researching and emphasizing the spiritual component of long-term care. • Gifted teacher and speaker devoted to helping people see the value of the elderly.

Desert Ministries is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to serving frail institutionalized older adults living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Many of them suffer severe depression as they experience abandonment and loneliness. We recruit and train people to be "family" and advocates for them.
