"Older American's Month"

"National Nursing Home Week" - May 11-17, 2008

• Every year, when we come to the month of May, we develop an outreach to nursing home residents. But this year, let's do something really different. Let's bless the people who work in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

• Theirs is a difficult job and they may not get to hear "Thank You!" to often. So this year, we want you to go out and buy a box of candy, or a dozen donuts, or flowers, or whatever you can think of, and take it to a nursing home or assisted living facility near you and present your gift(s) to the staff.

• When you arrive, say to the receptionist or charge nurse, "May is Older American's Month and I have brought this gifts for your staff as my way of saying thanks for all you do."

• Once they pick themselves up from the floor, we are sure that you will be greeted by a lot of happy faces and talk will spread quickly through the facility that, "Someone came today and said 'Thank You,' for all you do!"

• Take some time out this month and do something that will make you feel wonderful, and will make someone's day!

• If you don't know anyone in a nursing home, then call us at 1-866-556-8032 and we'll give you the name of a facility to go to.
